Everyone's a critic...... this we know.
From time to time I'll be posting my thoughts and opinions about shows I've seen. I try to get to New York City once or twice a year and immerse myself in as much theatre as possible. Eight shows in five days? Yes, that's what I do.
Living in the suburbs of Chicago, I also go downtown from time to time to see productions, but probably not as often as I'd like or should. It's the traffic I hate. What should take 45 minutes can easily take an hour and a half or two and then paying about $26 for parking. When I can schedule a Sunday matinee I'll take the train in which is much more relaxing. Unfortunately, the trains don't run late enough to take for an evening performance. Plus, of the touring productions that Chicago usually has to offer, chances are I've already seen it on Broadway.
I love all types of theatre and I have a tremendous respect for all those in the industry that do what they do. That said, it doesn't mean that I like everything I see or feel that I have to defend it in the name of 'protecting the arts'.
So what you will find here are just my opinions on my experience. Please feel free to comment or ask questions.
